近日，屡获殊荣的世界宝石学家、珠宝设计师Paloma Sanchez女士被江西应用科技学院光华宝石矿物资源学院任命为客座教授和国际顾问。

Paloma Sanchez, the award-winning gemmologist and jewelry designer worldwide, was appointed as a Guest Professor and International Adviser for Guanghua Institute of Gem and Mineral Resources under Jiangxi University of Applied Sciences recently.

光华宝石矿物资源学院成立于2019年，旨在为江西应用科技学院与国际人才搭建宝石和矿物资源交流合作平台,其组织构架为一个教育、科研与服务的三位一体，即以学位与证书教学为主体的宝石矿物资源学院，以教辅、研究、对外服务为目的的宝石矿物实验与鉴定中心和“刘光华自然遗产博物馆”。
Founded in 2019, the Guanghua Institute of Gem and Mineral Resources aims to build a bridge between Jiangxi Universtity of Applied Sciences and international experts, led by Dr. Professor Guanghua Liu and Dr. Professor Eugene Huang. As a part of Jiangxi University of Applied Sciences, this institute will structure a center integrating with education, scientific research and service such as gem identification. Dr. Guanghua Liu’s Natural Heritage Museum that is in construction will be a significant part exhibiting finest and rarest stones as well as fossils, which certainly is going to bring a great contribution to China’s society.

The preview exhibition of Dr. Guanghua Liu’s Natural Heritage Museum in the first floor of school library was held recently as inauguration to break the ground. There were a large number of exquisite and rare minerals, gems and fossils from all over the world,including some of the world's top exhibits and first-ever fine works in the exhibition that welcomed all industrial scholars and most VIP guests. Chairman of Chenlin Education Group and President of Jiangxi University of Applied Sciences - Mr. Yulin Huang, Secretary of the Party Committee Diyun Peng, Executive Director Shenghuai Yu as well as the School Headmaster Shenghua Wang all attended the ceremony.
“能够成为光华学院的客座教授，见证宝石和矿产资源在中国的发展，我感到很荣幸”，Sanchez女士表示，“这是中国宝石和矿产资源领域最大项目的开始，它相当于中国的GIA（全球领先的美国宝石学院），必将在中国引领潮流”。
“I feel very honored to take this role as a guest professor and witness the development of gem and mineral resources in China”, said Mrs. Sanchez, “It’s the first time for me to see such a large project featuring gem and mineral resources. I am sure this institute will be very promising in China, just like the Gemological Institute of America in the world”.
光华学院发起人刘光华博士表示，Sanchez女士在国际宝石界的影响和成就，正是这个学院在寻求和合作的。
Dr. Guanghua Liu, who initiated the institute and a friend of Mrs. Sanchez, addressed that the influence of Paloma Sanchez as a gem huntress in the world and her achievement over the years, would definitely meet the needs they were looking for.
